Katharina Hinsberg's work is founded on a manifold reflection on the act of drawing in its primary conditions of hand, paper, pen, movement or spacial references. Katharina Hinsberg reduces this medium to the most simple material such as graphite, scalpel and paper.

The cutting out of the drawn lineatures that are loosened from the paper and so come to be of a fragile transparancy that re-questiones the image "drawing" and its implications, is typical for her work. The drawing itself disappears, allowing to imagine it in al possible forms. The cut in the paper - also as a frame to the room - allows Katharina Hinsberg to enlarge her work to spacious installations.
