In front of the neoclassical villa of the Kunstverein on the imperial boulevard, fluorescent, yellow-green water trickles over blocks into a decrepit-looking fountain. The intentionally unaesthetic effect of the concrete sculpture colored in Schönbrunn yellow creates a conscious contrast to the surroundings. Likewise, the discrepancy to what is commonly associated with the imperial Schönbrunn Palace, with its subtle yellow color scheme and its magnificent fountain, could hardly be greater. Marcel Schiele built this site-specific installation in 2010 as part of the exhibition TOO FAT TOO FIT / Klasse Tobias Rehberger.
