Nina Yuens (*1981 Hawaii) installations, environments and films are romantically designed and unite performance, monologue, soundtrack and montage. In her overall composition they release associations of feelings and pictures in the onlooker which often appear humorous. The exhibition "White Blindness" consists of five videos, partly in installation-like context, in which she herself acts, where trivial incidents are absurdly exaggerated and with her soft voiceover. "White Blindness" is Nina Yuen first institutional solo exhibition in Germany. Yuen studied Fine Arts at the Harvard University in Boston and lives and works in New York. She is represented by the galleries Juliètte Jongma in Amsterdam and Lombard Freid Projects in New York.
