The large-scale video installation by Mark Boulos (*1976, USA) shows two parallel videos, each showing a group of people at two opposite ends of the world - the Mercantile Exchange in Chicago and the Niger Delta in Africa. Every community in itself is occupied by the attempt to control oil. While one side reproduces scenes from the first day of the bank crisis in 2008, documented on the other side are excerpts of Boulos' experiences with members of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, whose violent methods to enforce their re-stand against the exploitation of people and the destruction of one of the largest Oil fields in the world.
