The Nassauische Kunstverein Wiesbaden hosts a solo show consisting of two series of paintings by Eliza Douglas, My Gleaming Soul and I am a Fireball. Her achievement here is to make works that look fresh without needing to be trendy; that is, she develops a vocabulary which allows history to appear without collapsing painting into a historical problem.

Although the democratic constitution of Afghanistan guarantees equal rights for men and women, women are still not allowed to actively participate in political and social life. In his videos, Yama Rahimi (* 1992, Afghanistan) addresses aspects of the oppression of women and the dominance of patriarchal structures in Afghanistan.
