On Sunday, June 27th, 2021 at 3 pm, Curator Janine Drewes will give an insight into the current exhibition Eva & Franco Mattes / Human-in-the-loop.

In their installations, the artist duo examines the function and distribution of photographs that we regularly reveal on social networks, and that constantly inundate us online, controlled by invisible mechanisms. On the basis that the Internet is not a free, utopian place, but a more and more centralized, corporatized and monitored system, the artists make visible the underlying infrastructure and the people who work it. Critical and yet with a good portion of black humor, they show how we (un)consciously participate in the spread of ideas to ideologies with our actions on the Internet.

Due to hygiene protection measures, we kindly ask you to note the following requirements:

  • For the participation, visitors need to register for the event in advance (via email: visit@kunstverein-wiesbaden.de or via telephone: 0611 / 301136). The number of participants is limited.
